Autify hosted an office tour for students from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis

May 11th, 2023 — Autify, Inc. (CEO: Ryo Chikazawa, Japan office located in Tokyo), which provides the AI-powered software test automation tool Autify, hosted an office tour for students from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.

The short-term study abroad program in Japan was provided by Asia-Pacific Academic, an organization offering cultural exchange and global education programs. Autify gave a presentation on creating a global business that expands from Japan to the rest of the world.

Many of the students had a strong interest in global businesses that utilize the latest technologies, such as AI, and they listened intently to Autify CEO Ryo Chikazawa’s presentation. As the first Japanese person to graduate from Alchemist Accelerator, one of the top accelerator programs in the US, Ryo spoke about how he founded the company to change the world by identifying clients’ burning needs through interviews and solving a common problem faced by development teams around the world.

He also talked about how 29% of Autify’s staff in the Japan office are foreign nationals, how we have made English the official language of our company, and what kind of support is offered to overseas employees when they move to Japan. With some students interested in working in the global market, he also discussed the challenges and joys of working in a global team and introduced members who are enjoying life in Japan while maintaining a good work-life balance.

Five members from Autify’s Engineering, Customer Success, Technical Support Engineering, Marketing, and HR teams spoke about their roles and challenges in their respective departments. During the Q&A session, students asked questions about starting a career in the global market, such as whether Autify members have college majors relevant to their current position and what global companies look for when hiring.

Comment from Professor Lin Zheng, Clinical Associate Professor of Accounting

We really enjoyed the engaging visit. My students reflected that they were impressed by the perseverance of the company during the first 2.5 years of the dark age to make their vision a reality. Our students also applauded Autify’s achievements of promoting gender equality at Japan’s workplace. We wish their business continues growing!

Through these lectures, Autify will continue to support students who want to work globally, as well as ambitious individuals who want to start their own businesses to meet global needs.
